Meet Brittany
Brittany is an experienced TV personality. Over the last 10 years Brittany has covered a mixture of sports and news. Most recently Brittany co-anchored an hour long 9pm newscast for WTVO/WQRF Eyewitness News in Rockford, IL. Along with delivering important information with personality and authority, Brittany produced the hour long 9pm show, she produced an earlier half hour show as well. Brittany reported once a week, going live regularly for scheduled and breaking news coverage. Brittany also served as a reporter for a the weekly Bear Blitz show. She would go to the Chicago Bears practice facility each week during NFL season, shoot press conference footage, shoot and conduct locker room interviews, shoot a stand up and make a package to air every Sunday before Bears games. She would also shoot a short, defense focused breakdown for social media. Brittany began at the station as a Dayside reporter and worked her way up to main anchor in 2 and a half years.
Prior to working with Eyewitness News, Brittany worked for the Rockford IceHogs as the Broadcast Intern. She is the first female to hold that position. Brittany produced and co-hosted IceHogs WarmUp, a 30 minute pregame show centered around the IceHogs' upcoming matchup. She would conduct live interviews with players during games after the 1st and 3rd periods of each game. Covering hockey is something Brittany loves and excels at, watching it constantly during her free time as well.
Brittany attended Eastern Illinois University where she graduated with 2 Bachelor's Degrees, one in Communication Studies and one in Sociology. Immediately after graduating, she was accepted into graduate school at EIU for Communication Studies. She finished the 2 year program with a 3.8 GPA. Also while at Eastern, Brittany covered the basketball teams, doing post game recaps for the school's athletic website. She also served as a correspondent for the show, Danville Dashers All Access , which covered the Danville Dashers of the Federal Hockey League.
